Career Development Programs

Certified Nursing Assistant Training Course

Registration is underway for a three-week CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) Training Course at the Clinton L. Johson Center for Economic Development.  The class is open to people from households with low and moderate income. The starting date has not been set. However, the first week of class will be held at the Center from 1:00-4:00 p.m. The other two weeks of classes will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information, call 470-1728.

GED Tutoring

GED (General Educational Development) assessments and tutoring is available at the Clinton L. Johnson Center for Economic Development, 1655 Eagle Drive. These activities are held to help high school dropouts prepare to take the GED Test, a high school equivalency test. Those who pass the test receive a high school equivalency certificate.

GED assessment tests are given the first Monday of each month from 8:00-10:00 a.m. The next two test dates are Aprl 6 and May 4.

GED math tutoring sessions are held at the Center on the second, third and fourth Mondays of each month from 8:30-10:30 a.m.
